Ante Popovski poet, essayist, translator, publicist. Born 3rd June 1931 in the village of Lazaropole, Debar. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine. Was a member of the Executive Council of Macedonia, Director of the newspaper “Nova Makedonija” and “Vardar film” in Skopje, vice-president of the Commission for foreign cultural relations, President of the Macedonian Writers’ Association (two terms), President of the Council of the Struga Poetry Evenings Festival (1966/1967 and 1978/1979).
