George Cadogan Morgan

George was born at Bridgend, Glamorganshire, Wales, second son of William Morgan, physician, and his wife Sarah, who was a sister of Dr. Richard Price the philosopher - another of their sons was William Morgan (1750 - 1833). From Cowbridge school he went up, in 1771, to Jesus College, Oxford, intending to take Anglican orders, but he changed his theological views and went to Hoxton Academy.
