Vernon Cory

Vernon Cory: agriculturalist, biologist, historian and author, was born on the 11th July 1917 in Camborne, Cornwall, son of mining engineer Richard James Cory. Vernon was educated at Redruth Grammar School and Seale Hayne Agricultural College, graduating with an external BSc from the University of London in 1939. The war years were largely spent employed by War Agricultural Committees, culminating in Bedfordshire. Vernon married Gladys Mary Favell, of Great Barford, Bedfordshire, in 1948.
