Arnold Ferdinand Arnold (ne Schmitz) was born in Königstein Germany in 1921. His family was a very old German family from the Frankfurt area - mostly Jewish but occassionally Catholic. It can be traced back to the beginning of the concept of the German state. His grandfather on his mother's side was a highly successful entrepreneur.
