Monica Dickens

Monica Enid Dickens was a writer. Dickens was the great-granddaughter of the author Charles Dickens, and was born into the upper-middle class. She became disillusioned her privilege and became a domestic servant. Her experiences as a servant and cook were the subject of her first book, "One Pair of Hands," published in 1939.
