Samuel Knaggs

Born Peckham Rye, London. Licentiate of the Society of Apothecaries 4 April 1850. Member of the Royal College of Surgeons 1850. Doctor and surgeon in Huddersfield, Yorkshire from 1853. Medical officer in same city. Four sons - Thomas Ashby Knaggs emigrated to Australia, Robert Lawford Knaggs also surgeon, Francis Henry Knaggs became army surgeon, Alfred Battye Knaggs industrial chemist.
