Peter William Aitchison

Educator, mountaineer. Born at Derby, England, on 1 July 1942, he received degrees in Mathematics from the University of London (BSc, Queen Mary’s College), University of Colorado (MSc) and the Australian National University (PhD). In 1969, he came to the University of Manitoba, where he taught Applied Mathematics until retirement in 2004.
