Theodorus Gaza
[English] **Theodoros Gazis** (or **Gazes**) (* about 1410 in Thessaloniki; † about 1475 in San Giovanni a Piro in Kampanien), also called **Theodorus Gaza**, was a Greek emigrant, humanist, translator of [Aristotle][1], Theophrast, Aelian, Dionysios of Halikarnassos, Chrysostomos, and other authors, and one of the revivalists of Greek literature in Italy during the Palaeologan Renaissance (15th century).
