Victoria E. Thompson

Victoria Elizabeth Thompson received her Ph.D. in French history in 1993 from the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently Associate Professor of History at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. Her work combines cultural and social history approaches, focusing on the interplay between representation and experience. Her research has focused primarily on France in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and particularly Paris.
