Derek Palmer

Born in Manchester in 1936, attended Rackhouse School and then Yew Tree Comprehensive. Served as a Police Cadet in the Cheshire Constabulary until being called up to do his National Service in the RAF. Joined Machester City Police on his demob and served for 8 years. Bought his own Black Cab in 1964. Retired in 2008. Published his second book "19 (Fighter) Squadron, RAF." in 2008, which is available by contacting Derek on 01614363027.
