S. Tamilselvan

S. Tamilselvan, born in 1954, is a writer and cultural activist from Tuticorin district of Tamilnadu. In 1978, he joined the Tamilnadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association (TNPWAA) and later served as it's state secretary and president. In the 1990s, he actively took part in the Literacy Movement of Tamilnadu and helped common people to read and write in Tamil. He is also an advocate of education in native language.
