**Stephen H. Davis** (7 September 1939) Stephen Davis is an American fluid dynamicist and '*Walter P Murphy*' Professor of Applied Mathematics and '*McCormick School (Institute)*' Professor resident for the Department of Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics at Northwestern University, Illinois. He earned his advanced education in New York at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with his B.E.E. in Electrical Engineering in 1960, his M.S. in Mathematics in 1962 and his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1964.
