Anatole's Story

And that commitment took him on a venture into the almosst forbidden land along the bayous." That is the way author Polly Broussard Martin remembers her father-in-law, Anatole Martin, who was instrumental in bringing the Protestant faith to South Louisiana. Mrs. Martin describes Anatole's missionary work among the Houmas Indians and his bayou neighbors. She brings to life his personal, spiritual journey, as well as the many challenges and physical dangers he faced. "So, this is his story, a story that begs to be told. It must be preserved."
