Remembering the roses

After her mother's death and her ex-husband's betrayal, Sammie Sternberg trusts no one-including God and herself. Following an impulse to run away and try to forget the past, she lands in tiny, picturesque Pineville Beach on Washington state's Olympic Peninsula. There she opens a second-hand store, and in the off-season creates original lapel pins from jewelers' castoffs. Through her work and her relationships with the friendly townfolk, including a reclusive but charming artist, Sammie begins to understand how God works to rebuild lives. In time she learns to trust again-and to open her heart to love
