Disembodied, doomed to forever wander the galaxy in search of his former existence, John Plank's hold on reality is tenous indeed. He has powers beyond his wildest dreams yet he remains the puppet of unseen forces. Tracking him silently in a great, dark ship, they observe and monitor his every movement. Finally, goaded beyond endurance, he attempts to strip away the mystery surrounding them; and the confrontation becomes a bizzare and deadly game.
