In his debut work, West of the Moon, D.B. Prehoda recounts his early adventures as a United States Border Patrol Agent stationed on the southwest border of the United States separating Texas from Mexico. Drawing on his experiences at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy, at his home station and during nights spent in the desert as a member of an elite narcotics interdiction team, D.B. Prehoda weaves a lightedhearted tale of a budding federal government vocation with somber chapters dedicated to the tracking and apprehension of a murder suspect and the rescue of lost souls.
