Sobre este livro

When the incorrigible Kinky Friedman, private dick and public nuisance, gets word that his old friend, the legendary singer and tokemaster-general Willie Nelson, is starting to become highly agitato, he joins Willie on the road again and makes it his personal mission to cheer up his friend or to die trying. Much to his personal discomfort, Kinky soon realizes that the second part of his vow seems more likely to come true. Joining Nelson and his extensive entourage aboard the singer's bus, bearing the nostalgic name of "Honeysuckle Rose," Kinky traverses from Texas to Buffalo, playing chess and trying to ferret out just what it is that's bothering his old pal. It turns out that on a particularly barren stretch of Arizona highway, Willie's bus has encountered an intoxicated Indian; the result is mincemeat and an apparently unshakable Indian curse. Then someone shoots one of Nelson's crew, mistaking him for the singer, and Kinky quickly deduces that whether it's a dead Indian cursing the dark, or a live gunman taking a shot in the dark, Willie is indeed in danger.
