The waiting

At the age of 20, Iris had been through more than most people. From waking up in drug dens to finding a way to deal with the shame of her actions, she hated knowin gthe one to blame for her downfall seemed to be living a life free of guilt, while she fought to overcome the temptations that threatened to overtake her every day. Sha had no way of knowning that there was an unsean reason behind her struggles; however her father, Devlin, knew. From the moment Devlin glimpsed Iris' tiny form on the black and white monitor within her mother's womb, he sensed it. Throughout the years, he had done his best to keep his family from finding out the truth about him and the dark demon that still haunted him. He didn't even want to return home when a strange accident put his Mother in a coma. He knew all to well, that things didn't just happen. He was sure it was a ploy to get him, Iris, and his siblings, Josh and Sasha back to their home, back to the alter in the woods, and back to the town that was the birthplace of it all in an attempt to reclaim what had been lost ... to reinstate the contract that had been broken to those of The Waiting.
