Data base architecture

This book is an elementary technical book on data bases, meant to inform the technically oriented person about the why's and how's of data bases. It is divided into three parts: fundamentals, architectural details, and language. The fundamentals examines applications, groups and families of data, architectures, and data base management systems. Part two provides a detailed examination of architecture, the relational data base, matrices, and normalization. The language sections looks at the use and functions of formal language, data implementation language, and query language. This book is aimed at those who have a background in computer science, technicians, scientists, managers, and anyone who wants to investigate the advantages of data base management systems, and an understanding of how they work.
