Everything Bad is Good for You
About this book
Okay, so the title is an obvious over-statement (crack cocaine, for example, is still clearly bad for you), but there might well be some truth in the sub-title. Steven Johnson lays out the argument that the increasingly complex plots of modern TV shows and the "problem-solving" demands of video games might mean that they are actually cognitively beneficial. Intriguing ideas, but with not much empirical support...yet.
